Halloween Ride! Wompy
Early start! Was still dark out when we got to the parking lot. As the day got going, it warmed up to be a great fall day. We did about 11 miles in about an hour & half ride time.
Ride was fun and a great workout. The trail was very wet with a layer of leaves, and underneath these leaves were wet roots and rocks. Today we took it easy and avoided the more swampy and crazier stuff that Wompy offers.
Pete had a good crash, I saw him roll just after landing. We found out later that his new floor pump's gage is not showing correct PSI. With this misinformation Pete was riding with over inflated tires. With the slippery conditions and high PSI, it was a matter of time for a slip ding. After that crash, we let some air out of the tire.
We traded bikes for a section down Prospect Hill. I got to see how a Fully handles verses the Hard Tail that I use. Jury is still out, both bikes offer lots of positives.
