Wow! What a fun, great ride.
Wx was warm, cloudy with drizzle.
Stats: Ave speed 9 MPH (slow but the slipery trails demanded lower speeds) Distance Over 7 miles. Well in the damn 7th mile zone, we lost the bike computer.
Pete rode into this huge deep puddle. I mean this was three feet deep. When I heard his insane laugher, i picked a different path. Meanwhile. Splash!
After Pete walked off his injuries, we relized the bike computer was missing.
Pete did spend some time looking for it, but could not find it. We think some turtles made off with it.
I had a small wipe out. This bent my hanger for the rear derailer. Any more bend and the derailer would have ended up into the wheel.
Great idea Pete! To finish the ride via the pavement. Bike is in the shop at Dave's Rockland Cycle Shop in Rockland MA. It's in great hands.

The red ghost
Psychic oozes,
into the lungs,
in through the pores,
Now into the eyes.
Once in the blood stream,
fast to the brain!
Lingers.
Upon Sleep,
You dream.
cries, screams for help
deaths gone by
Too late to
disturb the peace.

Quincy Ride
Being on call this week, had to keep the ride local. Pete joined me on a fun road/off road ride in Quincy. We road from the house down Quincy Shore Drive, into Squantum out to the point and back. About 8 miles. Today was hot and hazzy. Great ride. One Flat. After field repair of tube, the valve stem broke! So had to use a whole new tube. Here's to being prepared!
