Blue Hills Milton MA Ride Advanced Loop (Breakneck Ledge)
This was my first try at riding Advanced Loop. 4.5 miles in 44 minutes. Lot's of steep climbing on lose trail. No single track, but the double track was still fun with bumps, erosion bars, twist and turns. Some of the downhills were challenging due to sand, run out, rocks, ruts. These sections reminded me of the power line trails. Replace broken glass and shotgun shells with pine needles and pine cones, but add the rocks, ruts and some sand.
Started the ride at 7 AM. The temp was in the seventies. I still used every drop of the 50 Fl. Oz. of water that was in my pack. I'm looking forward to my next ride here. I will know what to expect, and i will ease off the breaks on the descents next time. I also hope to make it up all the hills. I stalled on two hills today.
This loop is very well marked with yellow triangles. I never had to guess where to go. If I were to miss a turn there is always the Blue Hills Grid system and my map to get me back on the correct trail.

Blue Hills Milton MA Ride
Had a good ride today at the Blue Hills. The temp was in the 70s, partly sunny, with a light breeze.
I rode the 6 mile multi use trail. It's a 6 mile loop. Most of it double track, and up hill.
I completed the ride in 40 minutes.
I did not use cytoMax this time. Just water. My legs feel fine and i did not have any energy issues.
