Hanover Ride

wx was warm, cloudy, some rain.

Pete made it official. He retired his German Tank (GT) last week. 13 years of as he says, tears, and broken gears; but still great times. NOW his horse is a Gary Fisher HiFi Plus. He generously let me take it for a spin. JOVE! This bike just moves on it's own! It just pulls forward. Kudos to Dave at Rockland Cycle for building/setting this up! The bike just sails. Let's go, E NE! Aye Aye!

We had a lot of fun on this ride. The riding was swift and fast especially on the second loop.

There was some trail hazards, that we encounter for the first loop. Just shows it's always good to keep you head up, look ahead and keep your bike in control.

Hanover ride

Today was WARM. And sunny. We were overheating on the first loop. For the second half we switched to short sleeves. Ah much better.

Back to the first loop, Pete was BAM! out of the Gate. It's amazing how each ride we are getting more in shape, and improving our skills, and our trail knowledge. Stuff that we would walk over, now we are riding right through it, well at least Pete is.

Today we found it, as Pete called it, the trail of tears and lost gears. For part of the second loop we explored some single track. There was evidence of riders before us. They must be very good, cause we were getting our buts handed to us by this trail. This trail snakes its way in and out along a stone wall. For us this is a trail to be avoided.

Stopped by on the way home to Dave's Rockland Bike shop. This guy knows bikes! This guy is a master Jedi of the 9th order of something. Stop by, you will understand what I mean. It was a fun visit, I picked up a new Hydro Pack.

Hanover Ride

Pete and I rode the Hanover falls again this week. We did the loop twice, adding some new trails as well. We declined to explore the single track that's on a ridge due to the slippery conditions today.
The wx was fine, warm, cloudy with showers.

The wet roots and rocks made the trails very greasy. Watch out for the wet roots non-visible under the leaves!

We came upon a Coyote, he trotted away from us as we approached. He did stick to the trail.

The people of Hanover care for their trails. We talked to a few townspeople today. They were volunteers clearing the park of trash. Another way we were were impressed with Hanover.

Today's ride was fun and an awesome workout.

The unChucken ride: Hanover Greenway / Wildlife Management Area + Falls 2x

Today was great wx! Nice and cool, no rain, cloudy. Sir Pete and I rode the Hanover trails today. Thanks to Pete, we are starting to know our way around these fine trails. It's amazing how much stuff is out there to ride. We keep seeing more trails! There is evidence of dirt bike riding out on these trails.

We were feeling so great, we did the loop twice. From the Parking area, to the general store, and back to the parking area on the other side of the river. Seems each week we are improving our skills and getting in better shape. Thanks to the Town of Hanover for use of there great trail system.
